OPEN STUDIO - INCOMPLETE
This experience reveals a research journey full of production attempts, not only that, but we have been engaged in it for almost eight months, unknowingly, through which we have battled back and forth with our personal obsessions sometimes, and reviewed it with external environment and the issues of our society at other times.
The research that we indulged in, came in with all its appetite, all its confusion and loss, there are many answers, and maybe not at all, the artworks here are like a child who survived death but did not survive a flowing desire in search of meaning.
Our presentation for these "unfinished" experiences comes in a different context, as they do not fall under an exhibition for show, but we want them to be imbued with the tools of examination and renewed knowledge to grow between us and the recipients, especially since this methodology reflects an extension of our vision that aims in essence to promote neighboring and exchange in its multiple meanings between individuals inside and outside the studio, and to gain the ability to learn on one hand, and to add and teach others on the other.
This journey began with a phrase written on one of the walls of this place: "The meaning is not to find meaning” and for this phrase to form a loose space that invites us to question and think, and perhaps this stimulation prompted us to search for meaning in different ways and methods, to investigate what these visuals are hiding, because behind them - inevitably - are extensive research paths in terms of form and content, all based on the "self" as a starting point, whether our self represented by memory, stories, events, archives and personal objects, or our questioning, reflective and imaginative selves of the place, society and its issues.
The action, experimentation, and relentless pursuit have not yet led us to a full realization of the objective meaning of these productions, but we touched our hidden selves in our own worlds, sensing that the meaning lies in the process itself.
