INCOMPLETE - EXHIBITION PARTICIPANTS

Sera Maraka

At the peak of the experience, I found myself opening up to the other inherent in the work of my colleagues at “Al-Studio TBC.”, like a window overlooking other worlds, through which I sought to understand their unique visual languages and weave them into my own works. These paintings are not portraits of my colleagues, but rather visual dialogues that invite viewers to explore the complexities of identity and the dynamic interaction between the artist and the subject.

Through this series, I aim to keep the conversation going, by creating a visual language between myself and my colleagues' topics, and I invite viewers to join me in this dialog and to discover new layers of meaning in both the original works and how I have interpreted them.

These paintings reflect the ongoing nature of human existence, a story that is constantly unfolding. I seek to capture a fleeting moment, a glimpse of a soul, while also recognizing the mysteries that lie beneath the surface
