STEAM PalHouse Project
As part of the “STEAM Pal-House” project, implemented by the Educational Training Unit - Culture and Education Program at the AM. Qattan Foundation, artist Rafat Asad held three training workshops on reading and visual culture in the cities of Jenin, Bethlehem, and Dhahiriya. The workshops witnessed the participation of many female and male school students who benefited from the various activities that were organized.
The workshops focused on ways of reading and visual interpretation by analyzing artworks, watching animated films, and producing a series of drawings. The importance of visual reading was highlighted as an essential skill for understanding the reality around us, and enhancing the ability to interpret, analyze, and assimilate different images and patterns.
Visual reading is not limited to interpreting images, but also includes the ability to understand multiple contexts and transform this understanding into practical knowledge that can be utilized in future life and work projects.
