About the Workshop
This workshop focuses on the role of the poster in the daily life of the Palestinian people, and how this art form has evolved into an effective tool for directing society toward historical and national issues.
Meaning: History and National Struggle
We explore the deep relationship between the Palestinian people and the poster—particularly the national poster that embodies human values and expresses significant national and historical events in Palestinian life.
The workshop delves into the history of poster production and the transformations that shaped its form and content throughout the stages of the Palestinian struggle, highlighting the poster’s ability to document identity and resistance.
Participants will also rebuild their connection to poster creation through the use of contemporary tools, most notably digital media, as a modern means of production that enables artists and creators to develop innovative design and production methods.
This includes the use of social media platforms as exhibition spaces for posters—an influence that has clearly transformed how posters are designed, produced, and shared, opening new horizons for artistic expression and community engagement.
